Why did BattleBids close?

BattleBids.com was created in 2007 to turn the eBay auction format into a live, interactive game for buyers. The BattleBids games were fun and free and gave buyers something new to enjoy about the eBay bidding process. However, as eBay has steered more and more towards fixed price listings, BattleBids games have become less and less relevant. Therefore, we have decided to discontinue BattleBids games effective 11/09/2010 and focus on other great buyer tools like Auction Sniper, KickItBack and Dealio.
